Ep. 24 - Drop Dead gorgeous

Updated: Nov 28, 2020

On episode 24 - Drop Dead gorgeous, Max, Beau, and Brooklyn discuss dating the devastatingly beautiful.

Stunning, breathtaking, beautiful, gorgeous, and alluring. These are but a few of the words to describe individuals that turn heads, stop traffic, and turn us into awkward teenagers. Is there a different standard for extremely attractive people when it comes to dating? Have we experienced dating as a stunningly beautiful person or have we dated someone who is drop dead gorgeous?

We return from our two-month mid-season break with lots of updates! Beau makes a choice when meeting the girl of his dreams and encounters another he decides to pass on. Max learns a lesson in rejection and acceptance and later has a surprising experience with a cute guy at a birthday dinner party.

Brooklyn and his boyfriend explore piercings and visit Infliction Hall, "the social lounge with a dungeon atmosphere."

Max shares a hilarious "30 Rock" episode called "The Bubble" in which Liz Lemon (Tina Fey) discovers what it is like to date a man who is drop dead gorgeous play by Jon Hamm.

Dating Book/Article Review: "Breathless: The Pitfalls of Dating the Freakishly Attractive” by Karley Sciortino, from Vogue.

Call to Action: We are hard-wired to admire beauty and are drawn to art, music, symmetry, and attractiveness. Stunning beauty can be arresting, shocking and something that seems almost unattainable. Do we see external beauty as the only thing worthy of valuing and pursuing in a person? Or can we tap into the beauty inside of us all that makes us unique? We all have the power to radiate the stunningly beautiful light from within that can attract virtually anyone if we are willing to be ourselves. The choice is yours.
